Classic Banjo Backup

Classic Banjo Backup by Geoff Hohwald is the third installment in our series of downloadable lessons on playing backup parts on the banjo. You will learn a series of Scruggs style backup licks. Geoff will teach you how to play each lick in detail and then show you how to use it in the context of a song. We’ll use the licks to play along with classic bluegrass songs like New River Train, Banks of the Ohio, Goin’ Down That Road Feeling Bad, Cryin’ Holy, More Pretty Girls Than One, Salty Dog, Think of What You’ve Done, and Riding On That Midnight Train. This course contains over two hours of video instruction and music notation for each song.
