Gold Tone CC-50RP Banjo & Starter Pack

$754.00 $486.75

The CC-50RP is the absolute best way to begin learning bluegrass banjo. Although it's perfectly acceptable to learn using an open back banjo, the Gold Tone CC-50RP provides the punch, bang, and feel of a full resonator banjo with some extra perks. This banjo has a resonator that is maple and also includes the addition of planetary tuning pegs at the headstock. These pegs are exceptionally superior to just about any tuner in regards to holding the tune of the instrument. This banjo is the same design as the Gold Tone CC50 in regards to the two way adjustable truss rod, adjustable coordinator rod system, and specifications other than inclusion of a full resonator and highly upgraded tuning keys.

When playing banjo there is a difference between the sound of a banjo with a resonator and a banjo without one. This will introduce you from the beginning with the sound and feeling of playing with a banjo that has a resonator. Banjos are also notorious for going out of tune and planetary tuners are magnificent protectors for keeping the banjo in tune, no matter how hard you ar playing the strings.

“One of the most frustrating things that a student has to deal with is a banjo that will not tune or play correctly. The CC 50 RP eliminates this problem.

This is the most sturdy banjo on the market for this price. The CC 50 RP has a two way adjustable truss rod which makes raising and lowering the action and adjusting the neck a breeze even for someone who considers themselves not a mechanical person. This banjo has a Resonator for the Bluegrass Banjo sound and Deluxe Planet Pegs. The most significant feature for me is the heavy coordinator rod that holds the neck securely to the body. This not only keeps the banjo in solid adjustment(Stays in Tune, but also maximizes the sound. The tailpiece and armrest are also typical of parts found on banjos costing over $1000. Plus this does have a rolled brass tone ring and is set up professionally at Gold Tone’s United States factory and inspected personally by myself before we ship each one out.”
